Dane Spence-Saville is an emerging artist, working primarily in oil paint. He often utilizes dark colours with vibrant colour pops, to portray dark emotion and mystery in a surrealistic fashion. Other works are not limited to this medium however, with many works in water colour, acrylic, Ink, oil bar and sculpturehe is well on his way to becoming a multi-faceted artist.
Artist Statement
What lies beyond our observable world? What manifests in the deep dark corners of the void? Whom dwells in the hidden corners of the universe and on alternate planes of existence? This collection of works inspired by science fiction, classical mythology, and the deity’s and demon’s of many cultures delves into these questions. Through the use of mixed media I wish to captivate the viewer into theseunknown worlds of forgotten myth and phantasm.
